Summer calls for all things sweet and spicy. Whether you opt for a tart strawberry mojito or a spicy gin mixer, these fiery cocktails will keep you on your toes. Why muddle your way through the season when you can sip spicy or sweet spritzes all summer long?

1. Strawberry-Basil Mojito

Start summer off right by indulging in a pour of strawberry sweetness. Muddle crisp basil leaves, white rum, and sliced strawberries in the bottom of your glass and then add a generous pour of sparkling water and a spritz of fresh lemon juice. Top this sweet beverage with ice, basil, and a few strawberry slices.


2. Jalapeño-Melon Mixer

Add a surprising spice to your drink menu with a zesty cocktail perfect for the adventurous dinner party host. Combine jalapeño-infused tequila with 2 oz. of watermelon purée for a beverage sure to keep your gathering lively. Add a splash of fresh lime juice to finish this drink and garnish with a thin lime wedge.


3. Rosé Kombucha Spritzer

I like to use a pour of rosé wine or prosecco paired with an equal pour of berry kombucha flavor. Sweeten this bubbly beverage with a splash of fresh fruit such as blackberries, strawberries, or blueberries.


4. Cucumber Spicy Sipper

Add a twist to your typical gin beverage. This gin cucumber lemonade mixer will provide guests with a spicy refreshment sure to impress. To make this delicious concoction, mix a ½ cup of gin, 2 cups of lemonade, a pinch of cayenne pepper, and a splash of lemon juice in a glass. Top with ice and thin cucumber slices.


5. A Very Cherry Mule

This mule is the perfect tart treat to wrap up the evening. Crush a handful of sliced, pit-free cherries in the bottle of your favorite mule mug. Add a splash of vodka, a spritz of lime juice, and a heavy pour of ginger beer. For a festive finish, top this exquisite mule with a cherry and a lime wedge.
