Panasonic Cooking Canada Recipe: Banana Fritters

If you’ve ever been at a TA Appliance store and saw a Panasonic Chef cooking, you’ve probably tried these delicious Banana Fritters! They’re just so good that we just HAD to share the recipe!

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. ground nutmeg
  • ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 very ripe bananas
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract

Yield: 4 portions

  1. Heat a large pot to 180° using the Deep Fry cooking zone on the Panasonic Induction cooktop. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, bananas and vanilla. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just mixed.
  2. Gently drop heaping tablespoons of the batter into the hot oil. After 5 minutes the fritters will float to the surface. Flip the fritters so they fry evenly. Drain on paper towels until ready to serve.

These recipes were developed by Chef Michael P. Clive for Panasonic’s Induction Cooktop. Cooking times may vary depending on the type of cooktop you use.
